<p>When <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/s/spezzja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Jason Spezza</a></strong> addressed the media today he revealed that for the games he played for the Ottawa Senators during the playoffs he had a torn MCL. Spezza reported suffered the injury during his rehabilitation from the back surgery he underwent early in the season. He also said that he suffered a setback three weeks into his rehab though he didn&#8217;t get into specifics.</p>
<p>Spezza will be undergoing surgery on his knee to repair the tear and it is expected that his recovery time will be about 2-3 weeks. I don&#8217;t know if he will be keeping on schedule with how things have been going so far for his recovery but he does have the entire off season to work his way back to the Jason Spezza Senators fans know and love.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/k/karlser01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Erik Karlsson</a></strong> also talked about his injury this season. He said that he still needs time to heal. He wasn&#8217;t a hundred percent and couldn&#8217;t do the things he wanted to but he is glad he returned. He now has the summer to get back to his Norris Trophy winning self. If both these guys make it back to their talented selves the Senators will definitely be in the running for the cup next year.</p>

<p>Let&#8217;s start with an update from the Anaheim Ducks. <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/l/lydmato01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Toni Lydman</a></strong> is still suffering from headaches and did not participate in practice today. This means he is most likely out of the lineup for tonight&#8217;s game against the Detroit Red Wings.</p>
<p>Moving on to the Ottawa Senators who recieved good news today in regards to <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/s/spezzja01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Jason Spezza</a></strong>. Spezza has moved on to the next stage of rehab. He will be participating more and could possibly be back if the Senators run deep into the playoffs. He will most likely not be back during the first round.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/l/laichbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Brooks Laich</a></strong> of the Washington Capitals skated for the first time today sing he underwent surgery for a sports hernia in April. Even though he was skating today there is still no timeline on his possible return.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/e/emeryra01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Ray Emery</a></strong> and <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/b/bollada01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Dave Bolland</a></strong> will not likely be suiting up for the Chicago Blackhawks tomorrow night in their game against the Minnesota Wild. Bolland should return during the playoffs provided the Wild don&#8217;t comeback from being down 3-1.</p>
<p><strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/c/clowery01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Ryane Clowe</a></strong> could be in the New York Rangers line up tonight. We will not know for sure until right before game-time.</p>

<p>It seems the the Montreal Canadiens have been plagued with injuries this post-season. The first piece of disappointing news for the Canadiens is that they will have to go the rest of the season without their captain <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/g/giontbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Brian Gionta</a></strong>. Gionta will be undergoing surgery on Friday for a torn left bicep that will keep him off the ice for the little time that is left in the Canadiens season.</p>
<p>On top of Gionta being out two players left Tuesday night&#8217;s game due to injury. One of these players was the Canadiens number 1 goaltender <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/p/priceca01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Carey Price</a></strong>. Price is said to be day-to-day with a lower-body injury. It is still unclear at this point as to whether or not he will be playing in Thursday night&#8217;s game against the Ottawa Senators.</p>
<p>The other player that left Tuesday&#8217;s game was <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/p/prustbr01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Brandon Prust</a></strong>. He will definitely be out of Thursday&#8217;s game due to an aggravated shoulder injury. Also missing from Thursday&#8217;s game will be <strong><a href="http://www.hockey-reference.com/players/w/whitery01.html?utm_campaign=Linker&amp;utm_source=direct&amp;utm_medium=linker-toomanymenonthesite.com" target="_blank">Ryan White</a></strong> who also sat out of Tuesday&#8217;s game because of an upper-body injury caused in the second period of Sunday&#8217;s game. It is still unclear as to whether Prust or White will be missing more than just Thursday&#8217;s game.</p>
