NHL Offseason: Many Goalies Available

It is becoming apparent that the goalie supply in this upcoming offseason will reach a new high, with many potential NHL starting goalies available via free agency and trade. That means teams like Edmonton, Buffalo, Dallas, and Carolina have a great opportunity to upgrade in net.

Let’s take a look at some of the goalies that will probably be available in the offseason.

98. The Wild will probably try their best to re-sign him, and I think he will likely stay in Minnesota, but anything can happen. After writing one of the best comeback stories in the NHL, Dubnyk deserves a pay raise. However, he may want to test the free agent waters first, so teams like Dallas and Buffalo could be in the mix.. . Minnesota. Devan Dubnyk. 2. player

. . Ottawa Senators Goalies. 3. player. 91. The Senators have three goalies on their hands (Andrew Hammond, Craig Anderson, and Robin Lehner) and one of them will have to go by next season. It is really anybody’s guess as to who stays and who goes. Hammond is a restricted free agent, but it will be tough to let him go so GM Bryan Murray will offer him something. If they keep Hammond, they will trade either Anderson or Lehner.

The Rest

Other pending unrestricted free agent goalies include backups Ray Emery, Viktor Fasth, Karri Ramo, Jhonas Enroth, Anders Lindback, Josh Harding, and Michal Neuvirth. Also watch out for what Toronto does with Jonathan Bernier, who is set to become a restricted free agent. The Leafs may be willing to listen to offers.
