2015 NHL Mock Draft

Since the trade deadline is less than a couple weeks away, it makes sense for teams to evaluate their stance in the upcoming draft. In what will likely be the most stacked draft class in more than a decade, first round picks will be a hot commodity in the trade market, however, it is essential for teams to evaluate the players that will likely be available at that certain pick. Therefore, I put together an NHL mock draft for the teams in lottery contention (by the standings right now) so that we have an idea of the players that each team could pick. Agree or disagree? Comment below!

12. McDavid has cemented his spot at number one for the draft. He recently set the <a href=. C. Erie Otters (OHL). Connor McDavid. 1. player

2. player. 148. I highly doubt that the Oilers will keep this pick if they get it. Eichel is another fast forward prospect with exceptional skill, but if they trade down to number 3, they will likely get a much-needed big defenseman in Noah Hannifin and get a boatload of assets in return from the trade.. C. Boston U (NCAA). Jack Eichel

Boston C (NCAA). Noah Hannifin. 3. player. 121. Hannifin is an amazing skater and put on a display at some points during the World Juniors. He has a huge upside in my opinion and could possibly be a dominating defender like <strong><a href=. D

The Hurricanes could use some skill on their wings to complement the Staals. He is having a great year and is leading the OHL in scoring. At the beginning of the season it would have been a huge surprise to see him get picked this high, but not anymore.. RW. London Knights (OHL). Mitch Marner. 4. player. 109

player. 85. A big winger that would be one of the best available around this pick. The Devils could use some more young first-line talent, and getting a big winger in Crouse is bonus.. LW. Kingston Frontenacs (OHL). Lawson Crouse. 6

player. 91. The Senators also have a boatload of young centres, so it would be more logical if they went with defenceman Zach Werenski out of Michigan. He is a big body (6-foot-3) and could be valuable potentially alongside <strong><a href=. D. Michigan (NCAA). Zach Werenski. 8

9. player. 68. The Flyers are not in a rebuilding stage, and will likely get the best available player, regardless of their specific needs (like how they picked <strong><a href=. C. Sarnia Sting (OHL). Pavel Zacha

player. 103. The smooth-skating defender could surprise many one day, but the Avalanche are probably keeping an eye on him because of his skating abilities.. D. AIK (Sweden). Oliver Kylington. 10

. D. Brandon Wheat Kings (WHL). Ivan Provorov. 11. player. 119

87. . RW. Ottawa 67s (OHL). Travis Konecny. 12. player

C. Seattle Thunderbirds (WHL). Matthew Barzal. 13. player. 98.

C. Youngstown (USHL). Kyle Connor. 14. player. 67.
