- Boston Bruins agree to long term affiliation with Providence Bruins – The Boston Bruins / Providence Bruins affiliation agreement has been in place since 1992, making it one of the longest parent club / minor league deals in the NHL today. The Boston Bruins announced they have agreed to a long term extension that would keep the clubs together for the ‘foreseeable future’. [Causeway Crowd]
- Scott Gomez Gets Camp Invite – The Marty Brodeur era may be over in New Jersey, but that doesn’t mean that all of the relics from their 90’s heydays are gone. The Devils extended a camp invite to 1998 first round pick and former star of “DidScottGomezScoreLastNight.com, Scott Gomez. The decision is controversial, partially due to Gomez’s better days long behind him, and the fact that Devils’ fans last memory of Gomez is him crossing the Hudson to play for the Rangers.
