- Top 3 uniforms for each division – We are currently in a great era for hockey uniforms in the NHL. Most teams have tweaked or overhauled the designs that were unveiled in 2007 with the new Reebok Edge uniform system, making this the first time in several years where there are not real “eye-sores” in the league. That is why ranking the top three uniforms for each division was such a daunting task. Every division has a mix of modern and classic teams, making it difficult to select only three. [FanSided]
- Stripping Joe Thornton of the C is a good thing – Blades of Teal has their take on the Sharks deciding to take the captaincy away from Joe Thornton. The decision has proven to be controversial, but it could also allow a younger core of players to step up into leadership roles and facilitate a culture change in San Jose. [Blades of Teal]
- St. Louis Blues unveil new home and away jerseys – The St. Louis Blues unveiled their new jerseys for the 2014-15 season last night at a fan event. The design is reminiscent of the jerseys they wore before the NHL switched to the Reebok Edge uniform system. Overall, it is a more classically inspired look for a team that has a long history in the NHL. It is nice to see the Blues looking like the Blues again. [TMMOTS]
