Back End News: Claude Giroux Cops A Feel

It’s only been one day since the start of free agency, and we’re already being subjected to the unusual news that comes with the long off-season.

Last year, it was Milan Lucic getting in to a fight with a civilian outside a Vancouver bar. This year, it’s a little different.

According to Ottawa Sun, Philadelphia Flyers captain Claude Giroux spent Tuesday night in jail after an incident with a police officer.

Where there is very limited details as to what lead to the altercation, it is believed that Giroux was arrested for “repeatedly grabbing the buttocks of a male police officer.” And if you

couldn’t put two and two together, alcohol is believed to be involved.

Speculations suggest that Giroux will not be charged, which means further information will not likely be released.

Giroux is known for his great hands which often put him in the spotlight on the ice. What Giroux didn’t realize, however, is that when using his great hands to sexually assault a police officer, it would put him in the spotlight of a jail cell.

Hopefully this will teach Giroux to leave his wheeling and dealing on the ice, and not on the hindquarters of a police officer.
