Jason Spezza to the Dallas Stars

With only 40 minutes until NHL Free agency opens a star player is reportedly on the move. There are reports that Jason Spezza has been traded to the Dallas Stars. Spezza wanted out of Ottawa, and now he has his wish. During the draft there were reports that Spezza block a deal that would have sent him to Nashville. Now Spezza will be wearing green, and maybe cashing in.

The trade is still awaiting NHL approval but The Score says it will include three forwards and draft picks. The players and picks are said to be Chiasson, 2 prospects and a 2 round pick. That seems like a lot to give up for a player with only one-year left on his contract. The Stars are looking to add some age to their younger roster, and Spezza does that.

Spezza is 31 years old and carries a $7 million cap hit, it seem this deal will be locked up very soon as Cap Geek has already changed Jason Spezza to a Dallas Star. There will be more trades and a lot of big Free Agents being signed. Stay lock into TMMOTS for all your NHL Trade and Free Agent information.
