ALERT! Vancouver Forward Ryan Kesler and a third round pick in the 2015 draft have been traded to the Anaheim Ducks for Forward Nick Bonino, Defenseman Luca Sbisa, and a first and third round pick in this years draft, the first round pick is the 24th overall. This is an excellent move by both organizations respectively, Kesler is the big forward that the Ducks have been missing and both Bonino and Sbisa will fit well on a team needing speed and a quick stick on the ice that can keep up with Sedin twins.
But Vancouver isn’t done yet, according to Bob McKenzie of TSN Vancouver is possibly reaching for the 1st overall pick.
Now that VAN has traded Kesler to ANA, hearing VAN still very active, may still be looking for No. 1 overall, perhaps trading Garrison.

As for the Ducks, the question remains are they willing to spend more on acquiring Ottawa Senator Jason Spezza or are they happy with continuing to build a solid prospect base and keep there remaining first round pick, coincidentally the 10th overall recieved from Ottawa in the Bobby Ryan trade last off season.
It’s no surprise that Kesler has been traded, as TMMOTS reported yesterday the Canucks have been rumored to me making moves. If they are able to make a run at the top pick Vancouver’s image could change very quickly.
