  • Burning Questions Before the NHL Draft – Bleacher Report has a set of nine questions entering the 2014 NHL Draft. Everything from what the Florida Panthers will do with their first overall pick to which players will be traded is covered. From the looks of it, tomorrow night in Philadelphia should be pretty exciting. [ Bleacher Report ]
  • Oilers Sign Nikitin, Media Decides Team Is Years Away – Dave Mallett over at Oil On Whyte takes some exception to the media being overly skeptical of the type of impact Nikita Nikitin will have in Edmonton this season. After the reading the article, I would say you could call him cautiously optimistic. Unfortunately, after watching Nikitin in Columbus for the last few seasons and the fact it is the Edmonton Oilers (who have been in a constant battle with the New York Islanders to be first to declare “this is the season we turn things around), I have to side with the rest of the “media” and say it will be a few more season before we see Edmonton turn things around. • Jersey Watch – June 2014 Edition – Popular NHL uniform site, IceThetics has updated their annual “Jersey Watch” post to include the latest rumors as of this month. Jersey Watch begins when Reebok sends their catalog out to hockey retailers with some teams having their jerseys listed as “TBD”. These are usually teams that are going to make some type of change to their uniforms the following season. It appears we will see a new Anaheim Ducks away jersey at the draft tomorrow night, as well as the new Arizona Coyotes moniker used for the first time. Several other teams, including the Blues, Senators, Islanders, and Penguins, are rumored to be making changes or adding alternates. Check out the full post for all of the details. [ IceThetics ]
