The Anaheim Ducks feel short this season, and because of that they are looking for a true number two center. It seems luck is on their side; both Jason Spezza and Ryan Kesler are available, but for a price. Mark Spector seems to believe that one of these two players will be a Duck.
Ducks will choose from Jason Spezza and Ryan Kesler. VAN, OTT compete to draw from rich prospect/talent pool in ANA. @JeffShibleyRS

Chances are the Ducks will end up with Spezza; mainly because the Ottawa Senators could send him from East to West. Making it so they wouldn’t have to see his smiling face more than twice during the regular season. Spezza would need to approve the trade and I cant see why he wouldn’t. Moving on to the Ducks roster would be a big upgrade for him.
While Ducks fans may feel better with Kesler I can’t see the Canucks sending him to the Ducks, it just doesn’t make a lot of sense. Vancouver is looking to rebuild and compete, not send top talent to a Conference foe.
From a salary cup point of view, Kesler is a better fit. He has two years left at a $5 Million hit, Spezza however only has one year remaining with a $7 Million hit. However the addition of either player will instantly make the Ducks a much more difficult team to defend.
