Tyler Toffoli Shares Stanley Cup Celebration With His Dad

Each player on the Los Angeles Kings will choose to celebrate their Stanley Cup Championship in their own unique way. They will each get their day with the Cup during the offseason, but the first reactions following the game always make for the most heartfelt reactions to winning hockey’s ultimate reward.

Some players were fortunate enough to have families and loved ones in attendance, which allowed them the opportunity to celebrate their Cup win with them last night. Tyler Toffoli‘s father was not in attendance, but was watching from home. That did not stop Toffoli from sharing this important moment in his life and hockey career with his dad.

Scott Oake pulled Toffoli aside for an interview, only to discover that the Los Angeles Kings forward was on the phone with his father. We only got to hear one side of the conversation, but that alone is enough to understand the importance of this moment for the young forward. Below is the video, courtesy of Puck Daddy’s Harrison Mooney:

I couldn’t think of a better video to share on this Father’s Day weekend. In that brief moment, caught on live television, we got to see an elated son sharing a proud moment with his father. It is a truly a special moment and just one of the many heart warming moments that took place during last night’s Stanley Cup celebration.
