Los Angeles Kings @ Chicago Blackhawks 8:00 pM NBCSN [Series: Tied 3-3]

Noteable Noteables:

  • Los Angeles Kings, meet the San Jose Sharks. They too ran into a brick wall when they just needed one more win to end a series. The Kings know first hand how that series ended. Now the Kings find themselves in a similar situation: Game 7 after failing to close out the series in the previous three attempts.
  • The Chicago Blackhawks said before Game 5 that all of the pressure was on the Kings to close out the series, rather than for Chicago to stay alive. At the time it sounded a lot like posturing and positive reasoning. Now it appears that there was some truth to that statement. All of the doubt is with the Los Angeles Kings, and the Chicago Blackhawks are riding a wave of momentum into a Game 7 at home. This also marks consecutive season’s that the Blackhawks have forced a Game 7 after going down 3-1 in the Conference Final series. That ended in a Stanley Cup for the Blackhawks last year.
  • While Chicago has the momentum and a wealth of experience, we cannot ignore Justin William’s 6-0 record in Game 7′s. A seventh game in the series has always spawned a great game from Williams. The Kings already know they can win big in Chicago, their 6-2 win over the Blackhawks in Game 2 is still fresh in both team’s memories.
