Los Angeles Kings @ Anaheim Ducks 9 P.M. NBCSN [Series: Tied 3-3]

Notable Notables:

  • The Los Angeles Kings have won their last five games where elimination is on the line. Tonight they will attempt to make it six when they take on the Anaheim Ducks at the Honda Center. For the second time in the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs, a series between two California teams requires a Game 7 to decide a winner.
  • The Ducks and the Kings enter tonight’s game tied with 13 goals apiece in the series. Ironically, the Kings entered their first round Game 7 against the San Jose Sharks tied at 21 total goals for the series.
  • The Kings have experience on their side. Justin Williams, Mike Richards, and Marian Gaborik all have Game 7 experience and are 5-0 in series-deciding games. Williams has five goals and 10 points in his five Game 7 appearances.
  • Anaheim will be looking to improve their power play, which had gone 4-for-8 in Games 3, 4, and 5. In Game 6, they went 0-5 and generated little offense on the man advantage. Anaheim was also dominated in the faceoff circle, winning 15 of the first 21 in the game.
