Noteable Noteables:

  • Through three games in the Columbus Blue Jackets and Pittsburgh Penguins series, the team that has gotten ahead 3-1 has gone on to lose 4-3. It is a trend that has demonstrated that no lead is safe with these two teams. The Blue Jackets had the opportunity to go up 2 games to 1 in the series, but their emotions got the best of them and had a monumental collapse in the third period. The Penguins scored three goals in two minutes to take a 4-3 lead. While the Penguins top goal scorers have been quiet so far, they have gotten enough out of their depth scorers to win games. • The Anaheim Ducks will be without Stephane Robidas for the remainder of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Robidas re-fractured his right leg in the first minute of the second period of game 3.
  • Chicago is looking to even up a hard fought and close series with the St. Louis Blues before they head back to St. Louis. The Blues hope to return home with a more commanding 3-1 lead. The Blues outhit and outshot Chicago in Game 3, but Chicago walked away with a 2-0 win, the first regulation win by either team in the series. Chicago went 0-3 on the power play on Monday and they have just one power play goal in sixteen attempts in the series. [ NHL.com ]
