Matt Cooke Suspended 7 Games

This past Monday night in Minnesota, Matt Cooke was given a minor penalty in the second period of Game 3 of the first-round series between the Colorado Avalanche and the Minnesota Wild. Cooke stuck the knee out on Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie, who left the ice and did not return to the game. This isn’t Matt Cooke’s first offense, as he has missed 27 games in his career due to suspension. Here is the video explanation that the NHL Department Of Player Safety has made:
