NHL Channel Surfing: April 9th Edition

Channel Surfing is Too Many Men On The Site’s quick guide to tonight’s NHL action, as well as any other interesting broadcasts in the world of hockey. Included is a list of the scheduled games, game notes, as well as a pregame warm up song.

Montreal Canadiens @ Chicago Blackhawks 7:30 PM

Detroit Red Wings @ Pittsburgh Penguins 8:00 PM

Columbus Blue Jackets @ Dallas Stars 8:30 PM

Los Angeles Kings @ Calgary Flames 10:00 PM

San Jose Sharks @ Anaheim Ducks 10:30 PM

Noteable Noteables:

  • The Columbus Blue Jackets and the Dallas Stars get a chance to finish their game that was halted after Rich Peverley‘s medical emergency last month. A full 60 minutes will be played, but the Blue Jackets will be given a 1-0 lead. The games lone goal was scored by Nathan Horton, who returned to the Jackets lineup last night, only to exit with a lower body injury during the second. If Horton is unable to dress tonight, he will become the first NHL player to score a goal in a game that he did not play in. [ NHL.com ]
  • The Kings are safely in the playoffs, however they are trying to snap a two game losing streak to go into the NHL playoffs on a positive note. The Calgary Flames are looking to extend their winning streak to four games. The season was over for them a long time ago, but they are finishing things on a positive note. [ NHL.com ]
  • If the Anaheim Ducks can get a win against the San Jose Sharks, they will clinch the Pacific Division title. [ NHL.com ]

Best Dressed:
