Despite already clinching a playoff berth in the Western Conference, the Avalanche are worried about their first playoff round due to the uncertainty of star forward Matt Duchene. There is word that he may miss 4 weeks because of a knee injury he suffered when colliding with a teammate. The longterm injuries to P.A. Parenteau and Alex Tanguay have also not helped the team offensively.
