Noteable Noteables:

  • The Tampa Bay Lightning have won five games in a row and currently lead the Montreal Canadiens in the standings by two points with a game in hand. They have a tough match up today with the Pittsburgh Penguins that will test the streak, but the Lightning are averaging 4.4 goals per game over the five game run. [ ]
  • The Detroit Red Wings have won three of their last four and are once again inching towards crossing the playoff bubble. A twenty two year streak is on the line, so Detroit has a lot to fight for down the stretch.
  • The New Jersey Devils will require a miracle run to make the playoffs, but they could also play spoiler in the tightly packed Metropolitan Division. The New York Rangers currently sit in the third, trailing the Flyers by one point and leading the Columbus Blue Jackets by two points.

Best Dressed:

Tonight’s best dressed goes to the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Montreal Canadiens. It doesn’t get much better than that.
