Washington Capitals @ Los Angeles Kings 10:30 PM

Anaheim Ducks @ San Jose Sharks 10:30 PM

Noteable Noteables:

  • Due to the lockout and the two teams being in different conferences, this will be Zach Parise‘s first return to New Jersey since signing with Minnesota back in the Summer of 2012.
  • Dallas has dropped their last three and are in panic mode to make up some ground in the Western Conference Wild Card race. The Philadelphia Flyers have teams breathing down their neck, but they have won three in a row and six of their last eight. [ NHL.com ]
  • The Detroit Red Wings begin a busy stretch in their schedule, playing four games in six nights. Detroit is currently outside the playoff bubble looking in. They are desperate to make it 23 years in a row without missing the playoffs.
  • With their 5-3 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs last night, the Tampa Bay Lightning are now tied for second with the Montreal Canadiens in the Atlantic Division.
  • Tuesday was an inopportune time for the Columbus Blue Jackets to lose to the Carolina Hurricanes. They lost some ground in the Eastern Conference playoff race. Now they run into a Montreal Canadiens team that has won three in a row and has won the previous two match ups. The Blue Jackets will have tough guy Jared Boll off the IR. However, Coach Todd Richards indicated he would like to keep the same lineup in from Tuesday. [ NHL.com ]
