The Chicago Blackhawks are one of the best teams in the NHL, and have some of the best players in the NHL. Last night one of those players went down with an injury. Patrick Kane will miss about three-weeks with a leg injury.

If that time-table hold true Kane will be back in time for the first round of the Playoffs. So, it’s not all bad news for Blackhawks fans.

Kane went down mid-way through the second period when his left leg was rolled up on by Blues forward Brenden Morrow. Morrow had been checked and subsequently fell on Kane’s leg. CBS Chicago

Kane fell to the ground after the contact and remained on his hands and knees on the ice for a few seconds. He stood up and slowly skated to the Blackhawks bench. He went to the team’s dressing room shortly after. ABC News

With just over three weeks left in the season this injury shouldn’t hurt the Blackhawks too much. They have just about locked up a playoff spot, and it is just a matter of what seed they will have. As it stands now the Blackhawks are sitting in 2nd place in the Central, but they are only one point up on the Colorado Avalanche.
