Noteable Noteables:

  • The Dallas Stars and the Columbus Blue Jackets have the difficult task of going back to work after Rich Peverley‘s medical emergency on the Dallas Stars bench. The game was postponed, but it was very clear that both teams did not have hockey on their minds. A very emotional John Davidson explained the situation on the Jackets broadcast and wished Peverley well. However, as we have seen in the past when an unfortunate event takes place, the show must go on and the players will handle the situation like the true professionals they are. Everyone at Too Many Men On The Site wishes Rich Peverley a speedy recovery.
  • Oilers defenseman Oscar Klefbom is expected to make his NHL debut tonight. The 2011 first round pick was selected 19th overall by Edmonton and has appeared in 45 games for the Oklahoma City Barons. He has one goal and nine points. [ NHL.com ]
  • With a win over the Hurricanes tonight, goaltender Henrik Lundqvist could tie Mike Richter for the most wins in a Rangers uniform. If he shuts out Carolina, he will move ahead of Ed Giacomin for the franchise record. [ NHL.com ]
  • Did Daylight Savings Time hit you hard yesterday? Adam Henrique underestimated it’s effects and required a maintenance day on Monday. At least he was up front about it. Since the Devils forward was named one of the NHL 3 stars of the week, I am sure he was allowed a little leeway on that one.

Best Dressed:

Best dressed tonight goes to the Detroit Red Wings and the Columbus Blue Jackets. It’s classic meets modern, Red vs Blue, all the makings of a nice uniform match up.
