Noteable Noteables:

  • Martin Brodeur is projected to get the start for the New Jersey Devils tonight. While all trade talk has been mostly speculation at this point, everyone will be wondering the same thing tonight: Is this Brodeur’s final start as a member of the Devils? I was 5 years old when Marty played his first game for New Jersey…I’m 26 now.
  • Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne is expected to be in tonight for the first time since October 22nd.
  • The Bruins 6-3 win over the New York Rangers on Sunday was their first since returning from the Olympic break. They meet up with a Panthers team coming off a come from behind win against the New York Islanders. [ NHL.com ]
  • Ryan Miller will get his first chance in net at home in St. Louis. He got his first win as a Blue on the road against the Phoenix Coyotes on Sunday.

Best Dressed:

Tonight I will give the best dressed to the Detroit Red Wings and the New Jersey Devils. With Martin Brodeur in net it will be like a flash back to the old 1995 Stanley Cup final between these two teams.
