USA and Russia sit atop Group A, Finland and Canada lead Group B, and Sweden is in sole possession of the first seed in Group C. The Czech Republic faced off against Sweden in their first game of the tournament and lost, but have since bounced back and beat Latvia to earn their first win. Switzerland also has one win under their belt, just narrowly defeating Latvia in their first game. Both Switzerland and the Czech Republic are in Group C and will meet each other on the 15th. No other teams have wins yet.
Some of the teams have won convincingly so far in this tournament, and others have shown some weaknesses but have still came out on top. Team USA skated to a 7-1 victory in their first game, scoring 6 goals in the second period. Team Canada only won by a couple goals in their first showing, but were in command in their second game, which was played today.
