Noteable Noteables

  • Tonight’s game between Chicago and Phoenix features 15 players who will be heading to Sochi this weekend for the Olympics. The Blackhawks have a league high 10 players on Olympic rosters and the Coyotes have 5.
  • The #1 and #2 teams in the Metropolitan Division are squaring off tonight in Pittsburgh, but the Penguins are in a class of their own. The Rangers come into tonight’s game with 65 points, whereas Pittsburgh has a commanding lead over the division with 82 points.

Best Dressed:

Tonight I give the best dressed honors to the Chicago Blackhawks and the Phoenix Coyotes (provided they are not wearing those awful third jerseys!). Chicago has one of the more famous jerseys in all of sports, and the Coyotes have created a traditional look that evokes the Southwest region of the US.

TMMOTS Pregame Warm Up Song:

Tegan and Sara – “Back In Your Head”

I won’t be watching the early games, as I will be seeing Tegan and Sara in Cleveland tonight with my girlfriend. I really wasn’t into them until we saw them open for fun. in Columbus and since then they have gotten a ton of play on my phone.
