Channel Surfing is Too Many Men On The Site’s quick guide to tonight’s NHL action, as well as any other interesting broadcasts in the world of hockey. Included is a list of the scheduled games, game notes, as well as a pregame warm up song.

Pittsburgh Penguins @ Buffalo Sabres 7:30 PM [ Preview ]

Chicago Blackhawks @ Anaheim Ducks 10:00 PM [ Preview ]

Dallas Stars @ San Jose Sharks 10:30 PM [ Preview ]

Noteable Noteables:

  • The Sabres and Penguins will be meeting for the final time tonight for the 2013-14 season. Pittsburgh has won the previous two games by a combined score of 7-1.
  • Ryan Miller has been given the opportunity to represent the United States in Sochi this year. Despite leading the NHL in wins, Marc-Andre Fleury will be watching Team Canada from home. Sure the 30 wins are impressive, but the Penguins high octane offense has to be a factor there.
  • Dallas and Chicago get a crack at two of the three California teams tonight. Normally among the NHL elite, the Kings, Ducks, and Sharks were outscored 14-8 on Monday night.

Best Dressed:

Tonight I have to give the honors to the Dallas vs San Jose match up. It is the most colorful, and both teams have classy, simple uniforms. I know the Sharks redesign wasn’t popular with everyone, but it looks great on the ice.

TMMOTS Pregame Warm Up Song:

Brand New – “Jaws Theme Swimming”

Was looking for something Sharks related and then remembered this one by Brand New. The melody is somewhat derived from the Jaws theme. Pretty cool.
