QUICK SHIFTS: Winnipeg Jets; Playoff Race; Losing Streaks end

Was Claude Noel’s firing just the starts? There are rumblings of bigger changes coming to the Winnipeg Jets. Sunday saw an uncharacteristically busy night in the NHL as we saw 7 games on the ice. Big wins by the Rangers, Leafs and Islanders and a loss by Detroit did nothing but further complicate the bottom of the Eastern Conference playoff picture.

Both the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Chicago Blackhawks ended their losing streaks with big wins Sunday night. The Leafs beating New Jersey in a shootout to snap a 4 game slide. [TSN.ca, SI.Com]
