John Tavares, Jonas Hiller, and Henrik Lundqvist Named NHL's Three Stars of the Week

Earlier today, the NHL named the three stars of the week, and it was pretty obvious who would top the list.

First star: John Tavares, New York Islanders

Tavares racked up the stats this week. He had a five point game against the Dallas Stars on January 6th. He scored a hat trick and had two assists in the game.

Tavares managed to scored four goals, and added six assists for a total of ten points in just five games.

Second star: Jonas Hiller, Anaheim Ducks

A notable game for Jonas Hiller was January 7th, where he stood on his head the entire game in a 5-2 win over the Boston Bruins. In addition to that, he also recorded a shutout in a 1-0 win over the Detroit Red Wings.

Hiller was 3-0-0 this week with a 1.67 goals-against average and a .947% save percentage.

Third star: Henrik Lundqvist, New York Rangers

Henrik Lundqvist had a pretty decent week with a record of 3-0-1. He managed to keep his goals against average just below 2.00 with 1.97 goals against, as well as a .943 save percentage.
