The weekend is finally here, but they are never long enough.  Thankfully there are plenty of NHL games to keep the hockey fans busy through the

bitter cold weekend.

The Winter Classic is over, but it is still making headlines.  This years edition of the Winter Classic was not only the largest when it comes to attendance, but it had the highest television rating of an NHL regular season game in 39 years.  [The Sporting News].
