NHL Trade Rumors

Happy Monday.

The Holiday season is here and there is a roster freeze in effect, but let’s take a look at a few NHL rumors you should know about.

Los Angeles Kings: The Kings were thought to be in need of a goaltender when Jonathan Quick went down with an injury; however that is not the case. The Fourth Period has reported that the Kings may be looking to add a winger, and beef up their blueline. Currently the Kings have around $2.4 million in cap room.

Detroit Red Wings: Detroit is always looking to add to their string of playoff appearances, and a report has come out linking the Red Wings to Alex Edler. The rumor can be found on Fansided.com.  The Red Wings have tried to acquire Edler in the past and talk may be heating up again.

The 27-year-old is typically good for 25 to 30 points while playing steady defense. Fansided.com

New York Rangers:  The Rangers need to make a move because they are the Rangers, and Glen Sather is trying to find a willing partner. Sportingnews.com says Sather is desperate to make a move. The NHL is in a mini-lockdown and trade cannot be executed until December 28th, but that won’t stop teams from getting their ducks in a row. It has been reported that the Rangers are willing to move anyone except Henrik Lundqvist, Rick Nash, or Chris Kreider.”
