Good Morning….It is Saturday December 6, 2013 and here is today’s version of QUICK SHIFTS. Its been a good week of hockey with another full slate of games on tap for today. Games start at 2pm today so let’s get caught up on some reading from around the league.

The last few days we have been treated to some pretty good goals. Nick Foligno of the Columbus Blue Jackets against Ben Bishop of the Tampa Bay Lightning. Rick Nash of the New York Rangers against Ryan Miller of the Buffalo Sabres. Last night we got to witness a hell of a save by Detroit Red Wings goalie Jonas Gustavsson. The 2014 World Junior Hockey Championships will be held this year in Malmo, Sweden. It’s the annual matchup of the top junior players from around the globe. Hockey fans are some of the most passionate fans in sport. Sometimes though, a call will go against their team and those fans turn that passion to the heckling of the referee.
