NHL Trade Rumors: Panthers, Gardiner, Legwand

Here are a few trade rumors looming around the NHL today.

Florida Panthers’ Dmitry Kulikov was a healthy scratch Tuesday as they lost 4-2 to the Ottawa Senators. Kulikov is being pushed out, as Dale Tallon is working the phones trying to get him out of Florida. Stay tuned for more Kulikov talks.

Florida also has Tomas Fleischmann and Scottie Upshall on the trading block. Together, they hold 9 goals and 19 assists (28 points) this season for the Panthers. The Kulikov fiasco has the Panthers a little on edge.

Toronto Maple Leafs’ defenseman Jake Gardiner has been in the trade talks lately. The Leafs said they are willing to trade him. He has 0 goals and 6 assists in his 27 games played this season. He has spent three seasons in the NHL and has 40 points in 114 games.

The Nashville Predators are not in talks with pending UFA David Legwand. A big player for the Preds, Legwand has put up 5 goals and 15 assists in 28 games. It’s hard to understand why the Predators wouldn’t want to re-sign him, but they still have some time. He has 546 points in 922 games as a Predator.

That is it for today’s trade rumors. Make sure to check back in daily to see the latest news around the league.
