Per the Anaheim Ducks twitter feed, the Anaheim ducks have completed a trade with the Calgary Flames for RW Tim Jackman.

@AnaheimDucks: The #NHLDucks have acquired forward Tim Jackman from the @NHLFlames in exchange for the team’s sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Draft.

Tim Jackman is a rugged winger who has played 400 games in his 10 year career.  He was drafted in 2001, the 38th selection overall,  by the Columbus Blue Jackets.   His career stats per NHL.com (24 goals, 40 assists, 64 points and 654 pims) suggest that the Anaheim Ducks are looking to replace the enforcer they lost when George Parros left the organization.  Jackman will provide 4th line minutes and protection to the elite Ducks forwards of Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf. Jackman has played for five NHL teams including the Columbus Blue Jackets, Phoenix Coyotes,  Los Angeles Kings, New York Islanders and Calgary Flames.

The Calgary Flames get a low round selection in the upcoming  2014 NHL Entry Draft. They can use the pick to restock the depth in the organization as they are in a current rebuild.
