Here is your NHL injury update for November 14:

Jonathan Quick has been diagnosed with a grade 2 groin strain. There is no official time line on when he will return to the Los Angeles Kings line up.

John Tavares will be returning to the New York Islanders line up tonight. Yesterday he missed practice because of his banged hip so it looked like he would be out of the line up but today he is fine.

Patrik Elias returned New Jersey Devils practice today. He has missed 6 games with back spasms.

Thomas Vanek will not be in the Islanders line up. This will be the third straight game he has missed with an upper body injury he suffered during Saturday’s game against the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Ryan Getzlaf will miss his third straight game with an upper body injury. Still no word on when he will be back in the Anaheim Ducks line up.

Nicklas Backstrom will not play in tonight’s Minnesota Wild game against the Florida Panthers.
