The season is moving along quickly now, and the NHL has released its three stars of the week. Jason Pominville of the Minnesota Wild was given the first star of the week honor, while Marc-Andre Fleury of the Pittsburgh Penguins received the second star. Jason Chimera of the Washington Capitals was given the third star of the week.
Pominville skated in three games last week with the Wild, and scored in all three. Pominville scored four goals this week and added two assists as well. Pominville played exceptionally well this last week and has bumped his numbers up to ten goals and two assists on the season.
Marc-Andre Fleury earned the second star this week by continuing to play well in net for the Penguins. Fleury’s numbers have been good all season, but this week Fleury was 3-0-0 with a goals against average of 1.67 and a save percentage of .940%. Fleury is now 10-2-0 on the season with a goals against average of 1.83, and a save percentage of .929%.
Jason Chimera received the third star of the week this week for the Washington Capitals. Chimera chipped in two goals and four assists for the Capitals last week, including a goal and three assists against the Philadelphia Flyers. Chimera had a four game goal streak until November 2nd when the Capitals beat the Panthers 3-2. Chimera now has five goals and six assists on the season.
