Semyon Varlamov Appeared before a judge this morning to set bond for his kidnapping and assault charges. The bond as been set at $5000 as per the Denver Post. Varlamov was also granted permission to travel and a restraint order has been imposed. The fact that he has permission to travel is good news for the Colorado Avalanche as he will be able to continue playing, for the near future anyway.
As for what Varlamov is accused of the alleged victims attorney spoke to CBS news and said that Varlamov threw the victim against the wall in a drunken rage and proceeded to stomp on her. According to the Denver Post the police report stated that there were bruises on her forearm and hip.
Varlamov’s agent released a statement as well:
