Chuck Kobasew Injured [UPDATE]

October 28: Chuck Kobasew left Monday night’s Pittsburgh Penguins game against the Carolina Hurricanes in the first period. Kobasew took a hit from Tim Gleason and fell awkwardly and leaving the ice looked like he couldn’t put weight on one leg. The Penguins tweeted a while later that Kobasew would not return to the game. Pittsburgh would go on to win the game three to one.

The extent of the injury is not known, neither is the timeline on how long he will be out. The only thing that is known is the injury is likely lower body. Kobasew has scored 2 goals this season and both were game winners. He also has a plus three rating. He may not be Sidney Crosby but losing him might still affect the  team. It also will give a player on the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins an opportunity to play in the show as to which player that is also unknown. October 29: The team has announced the Chuck will be out for 2-3 weeks with a lower body injury.
