Here is your NHL injury update for October 27:
Cory Schneider was out of last night’s New Jersey Devils game due to a lower body injury. Devils GM Lou Lamoriello said to Tom Gulitti that Schneider is “sore” and the injury is not serious. There is still no timeline on his return.
The Buffalo Sabres will lose Mike Weber with a long-term upper body injury according to Ron Rolston and he was put on injured reserve. Ville Leino was activated from injured reserve and is ready to go but it is ultimately up to Rolston as to when he is back in.
Dustin Penner could be back in the Anaheim Ducks line up in Columbus, while Mathieu Perrault is day to day with a sprained left wrist. The Ducks are also out Jakob Silfverberg for 4-6 weeks with a broken hand.
Joffrey Lupul could be back in the Toronto Maple Leafs line up as early as Tuesday as his CT scan was clear. Randy Carlyle commented on Tyler Bozak‘s injury last night saying he could be out longer than 7-10 days.
