Martin Brodeur will be starting for the New Jersey Devils tonight as Cory Schneider is out with a lower body injury. He aggravated the injury in the Devils loss against his old team the Vancouver Canucks. There is no timeline on his return but with a back up like Martin Brodeur the Devils shouldn’t be too worried about the situation.

Keith Kinkaid has been called up from the Albany Devils to be a back up for Brodeur. Kinkaid probably won’t get much play time but he told nj.com that he is going to make the most of it.

“I don’t know what is wrong with Schneids, but I want to make the most of my opportunity,” Kinkaid said. “If that means sitting on the bench and working my tail off in practice, that shows out there, too.”

This will be the first start for Brodeur since October 17 for the Devils sake let’s hope he has stayed in shape as the Boston Bruins will be a tough team to beat. It will be Jaromir Jagr‘s first game back since going all the way to the finals with them last year which coupled with Brodeur’s start will make tonight’s one that should not be missed.
