Antti Niemi recorded his 24th career shut-out. Stopping all 24 Red Wing shots.
Jimmy Howard recorded his 17th career shut-out. Stopping 27 shots.

San José is in 1st place in the West with 17 points. They have scored 40 goals and, allowed 16 goals.
Detroit is in 2nd place in the East with 13 points. They have scored 24 goals, and allowed 24.

Colorado Avalanche vs. Pittsburgh Penguins: The Avalanche put the Penguins on ice with a 1-0 win in front of 18,606 people.  Gabriel Landeskog scored the GWG in the second period.

Jean Sebastien Giguere recorded his 2nd shut-out in 11 days by stopping all 34 Penguins shots.

Marc-Andre Fleury stopped 13 of the 14 shots he faced.

Colorado is in 2nd place in the West with 16 points. They have scored 28 goals while only allowing 12 goals.

Pittsburgh is sitting in 1st place in the East with 14 points. They have a +11 goal differential.

Calgary Flames vs. Los Angeles Kings: The Flames torched the Kings 3-2 in front of 18,118.

Calgary goal scorers: Michael Cammalleri, T.J. Brodie, Sean Monahan

Kings goal scorers: Jeff Carter, Drew Doughty

Calgary is sitting in 10 place in the west with 10 points. They have scored 26 goals and allowed 28 goals.

Los Angeles is in 7th place and has a +1 goal differential.
