Paul Bissonnette Suspension Reduced

Biznasty has been freed. Last night is was reported that Paul Bissonnette‘s 10 game suspension for leaving the bench to fight has been reduced to only 3 games. The reasoning behind the reduction is that there was not enough video evidence to conclude that he was not on a regular line change as it was a Phoenix Coyotes preseason game. Bissonnette claimed that he was supposed to change out for forward Max Domi. The league still believes Bissonnette needs to take responsibility for his actions which is why he still has a 3 game suspension.

This means that David Clarkson‘s 10 game suspension for the same reason will not be reduced as there was no doubt on whether his line change was legal, and there were plenty of cameras to capture that it was not.

After the reduced suspension was announced Biznasty took to twitter to make a rather long statement:

As much as Bissonnette likes to joke about hockey he is very serious about his job. He did not deserve a 10 game suspension and he was right to fight it.
