According to Bob Mckenzie there was an interesting development in the race to sign Nazem Kadri. Mckeanzie said that Kadri wants a 2 year deal worth 7 million and the Toronto Maple Leafs have countered with 2 years at 5.7 million. Now there isn’t much of a difference between the two deals if we are being totally honest. This could be a very good sign actually. If the Leafs and Kadri are almost on the same page this means a deal could be reached very soon.
The only question left is who will be the one to cave. How badly does Kadri want to be a Leaf? How much do the Leafs need Kadri? Will they be civil and meet at some kind of middle ground? Personally I don’t care how much they pay him I just want to see him in the blue-and-white once again.
