Due to an injury he sustained earlier this month Claude Giroux of the Philadelphia Flyers was unable to participate in this week’s Team Canada Olympic Orientation Camp. The GM of Team Canada Steve Yzerman said that this would not effect his chances of making the team according to Stephen Whyno of the Canadian Press. The question on every Canadian’s mind now is will he make the team.
With a ton of talent to choose from including Sidney Crosby, Steven Stamkos, Jonathan Toews and Patrick Sharp, it is possible that Yzerman does not consider him an elite enough athlete to make the team (I really don’t think this is the case). The other option is that Claude is a no-brainer to make the team. What do you think? Vote in the poll and leave a comment in the comment box below, on twitter or on facebook.
