NHL 14 Takes the Game to the Next Level

NHL 14 has released a preview of their new addition to the game. It’s been 20 years since the iconic NHL 94 game was out, so they have incorporated that into this years’ newest game. The preview makes it look really cool and at a more advanced level than ever before.

It all looks retro, like an old arcade game that you haven’t played in a while. They mention throwback soundtracks and retro presentation, which the graphics look very well put together. This might be one of the best one’s yet. They show huge hits and fantastic goals. They also show you the Minnesota North Stars and have the star underneath the controlled player. The game looked really cool, and with this new addition to it, it looks much better.

One thing that threw me off was something they said in the video. “There are no rules!” No icing, no offsides, and no penalties is how this is played. The settings could probably be toggled for this, but who doesn’t want to play a little street hockey and have some dirty hits. This is a great way to play the game we love using the teams we love. Like I said earlier, the graphics look awesome. You have to check out the video, which can be found here on the NHL’s website.

If you’ve also got some time, I highly recommend watching the Ilya Kovalchuk highlights they suggest. It’s sad to see a great player leave the league, but I sure wish him luck in his future endeavors. Follow Too Many Men on Twitter @TMMotS and follow me @NardoneDylan. Hope you enjoy the trailer as much as I did and I hope you are even more pumped up to get the game when it hits the shelves. Have fun and thanks for reading!
