He was a teammate of Zdeno Chara for several years in Ottawa. He has played in 1017 career games in the NHL split between the Ottawa Senators, New York Rangers and St. Louis Blues. The Calgary Flames have traded Blake Comeau to the Columbus Blue Jackets for a 5th round draft pick. Comeau has played in 33 games with the flames this season. He has scored 4 goals and haas 3 assists in these games. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of this season. In his career he has played 352 games split between the New York Islanders and Calgary Flames. In these games he has accumulated 65 goals and 78 assists.
Interestingly both players were originally drafted by the New York Islanders. Redden was drafted 2nd overall in the 1995 entry draft and Comeau was drafted in 2004 entry draft in the second round, he was 47th overall.
