Corey Perry was assessed a 5 minute major for interference and a game misconduct for his late hit on Jason Zucker that took place when the Anaheim Ducks took on the Minnesota Wild last night. According to TSN’s Bob Mackenzie via twitter Perry has a phone hearing today which means his suspension won’t be more than 5 games. This would not be Perry’s first suspension, he was suspended for 4 games in 2009 for an elbow on Claude Giroux.

Zucker was injured on the play and did not return to the game. There is still no update on his condition, but one is expected later today.

UPDATE: Perry has been suspended 4 games.
