Puck Drops For 2012-13 Season

It’s the final countdown…

In just a few hours the NHL will finally drop the puck and start the 2012-2013 season.

Finally The Cup will no longer belong to the Kings and they can finally raise their banner tonight when they play the Blackhawks.

As though injuries running rampant though the 30 NHL training camps isn’t enough with players rushing to get into game shape the flu is now running though the locker rooms.

The flu this winter is a nasty one. Turning on your local news you can get plenty of stories about it. Personally dealing with my 5 year old catching it. Fever spiked to 104.9 yesterday. Everyone stay safe.

Some things never change as the Islanders are waiver wire hording.

After the teams battles with defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky (whom reportedly still has not shown up) the Islanders opted to claim defenseman Brian Strait off waiver from the Pittsburgh Penguins.
