According to RDS.ca, Hal Gill is on the verge of signing a 1yr, $2.25 million dollar contract with Montreal Canadiens.
Gill, 36, has spent the past two seasons with the Canadiens, he will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1st.
With the potential signing of Gill, the Canadiens will still have five unrestricted free agent defensemen, including Andrei Markov.
