AJC.com: Chris Vivlamore reports, Another party this week expressed an interest in the Atlanta Thrashers to keep the team in Atlanta.

TheFourthPeriod.com: Montreal Canadiens GM Pierre Gauthier will start contract negotiations with  defenseman Andrei Markov this coming week.  According to a source, Markov will not go to the KHL and wants to remain with the Canadiens.

Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Shelly Anderson reports, Pittsburgh Penguins GM  Ray Shero said two of the club’s impending free-agent forwards — Mike Comrie and Alex Kovalev — won’t be re-signed.

sport-express.ru(Link is in Russian): Detroit Red Wings have sights on Windsor Spitfires Alexander Khokhlachev. According to the report, Wings would like to draft Khokhlachev in the first round, if he is still available.
