A few minutes after winning the bronze medal at the World Championships, Jaromir Jagr was asked about a possible return to the NHL.
“You never know. Maybe it will be still fun to go back to NHL. Maybe Pittsburgh. I don’t know. Maybe Montreal. Maybe New York,” Jagr told the Edmonton Journal. ”
After 11 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Jagr was traded to the Washington Capitals, where he played two and a half seasons. He then found his way into the NHL with the New York Rangers, Where he played three full seasons. After leaving the Rangers, Jagr decided to pursue a career in Omsk in the KHL in Russia.
So, is this the year Jagr makes a comeback in the NHL? I would think so, but he would receive more money from a team in Russia.
The Montreal Canadiens really need to think about giving Jagr a shot, he had great chemistry with Habs forward Tomas Plekanec, in World Championships.
