The start of the season is less than two weeks away!  It’s almost here, and it’s almost October as we’ve all been anxiously waiting for the drop of the puck.  Preseason games have begun and rosters are starting to take shape as teams get themselves ready for opening night.

Here’s another addition of the Best of the week from the FanSided NHL network.

The Boston Bruins are looking to regain their playoff form from last season and right the wrong that was made in their series against the Philadelphia Flyers.  Causeway Crowd says the fans and some new players are out to make Boston a hockey town again.

The Buffalo Sabres were quickly eliminated in the first round last season.  With some minor changes Sabre Noise has his line predictions.

We always here about playing a full 60 minutes.  Cardiac Cane talk about how two minutes during a game against the Florida Panthers cost them in a preseason tilt.

Looks like the Montreal Candiens faithfull are at it again.  In Carey Price’s first start of the preseason at home, his night was less than specatcular.  A Winning Habit hopes for better days.

Pucks And Pitchforks tries to find some positives in a New Jersey Devil loss in their first preseason game featuring a lineup missing some of it’s star players.

Eye On Isles Gary Harding calls himself the eternal optimist.  He takes a good look at day two of Training camp for the New York Islanders.

Blue Line Station talks about the prospects of the New York Rangers and how they did and the turn of fate of NHL defenceman Wade Redden.

The Ottawa Senators have “come back for more” according to SenShot’s Bobby Zijiac who’s also back for more after recovering from a nasty car accident.  Welcome back Bobby.

Lat week the NHL held a conference call covering a few different subjects.  Eugene Markman from Broad Street Buzz was lucky enough to have time and be on the call.  Check out his analysis.

The Pittsburgh Penguins have not been short of exposure over the past few seasons.  Their rise from the bottom has reached the top and now they’ll be even more exposed.  Pens Labyrinth tells us about an upcoming HBO special.

When you play in Toronto you’re going to be part of the media crazyness both on and off the ice.  Last week forward Mikhail Grabovski found out just how crazy things can get.  Editor In Leaf tells of the distraction.

Lots of talk about bloggers writers and the media the past few weeks.  Capitals Outsider decides to tell us about how Washington Capitals writers spent their summer.

George Parros of the Anaheim Ducks is well known throughout the NHL for mostly one thing.  Ducks Daily Blog aims to tell you that George is smarter than you think.

Lots of changes in the Windy City this summer.  According to Blackhawk Up one new addition to the Chicago Blackhawks lineup could be exploding onto the scene.

Blackout Dallas thinks that the Dallas Stars have left off right where they were last season.  And it’s not a good thing.

Each year the Edmonton Oilers preseason starts with an intrasquad game called the Joey Moss Cup. A great tradition that has been named after their locker room attendant who suffers from Down’s Syndrome.  Oil On Whyte gives us a little preview of the contest.

Predlines tells us about Blake Geoffrion’s preseason debut.  Grandson of the former Montreal Canadien star known as “Boom Boom”, you can only hope this kid makes it.

There was good news and bad news in the St. Louis Blues opening preseason game.  Bleedin’ Blue is looking for a quick rebound.
